METHOD
To make this gorgeously delicious matcha marble pound cake you need to preheat your oven to 180C.
Start by greasing a cake loaf pan and then lining it up with baking paper, this will prevent your matcha marble pound cake from sticking to the pan.
You will need a hand or stand mixer for this recipe.
Cream the butter and sugar together until they are very well combined and you get a creamy rich texture.
Continue by adding one by one the eggs, and make sure you get a rich smooth texture in your mixture.
Add in the vanilla and mix well.
Pour the flour into a mixing bowl. Carefully fold in the butter and egg mixture into the flour, until combined.
Now comes the most important part of the recipe! Separate the mixture into three different bowls, making sure that you add the same amount to each of the bowls. You can do this using a scale if you have one.
You will then have 3 different bowls, to the first one you will add the cocoa powder, to the second one you will add the pumpkin spice and to the third bowl you will add your organic high quality Matcha powder.
Making sure that your ingredients are very well combined in each of the three bowls.
Once you have combined thoroughly the ingredients in the 3 bowls, add 1 Tbsp of milk into each of the different mixtures. If you want, you can add an extra Tbsp if the mixture seems too dry for you.
Now comes the fun part! Assembling the matcha marble pound cake!
In your cake loaf tin, previously greased and lined with baking paper, add a spoon of each of the three mixtures (the pumpkin spice, the cocoa and the Matcha).
The most important thing is to alternate by adding one scoop at a time of each of the three different mixtures, so you get a nice swirl in your matcha marble pounf cake.
According to Sabrina from the Semi Sweet Edit, the best is using a toothpick to swirl the mixture in a figure '8' configuration, and also just up and down the pan, to create the marble effect.
Once you have your matcha marble cake mixture ready is time to bake it. Bake at 180C for 55 to 60min. Until you can insert a tooth pick into the cake and that comes out clean.
Once the matcha marble pound cake is done, let it cool down for 15 minutes.
