160 grams of room temperature butter 

200 grams of sugar

4 eggs

200 grams of cake flour

2 tsp of baking powder

1/4 tsp of salt

60 ml of room temperature milk

20 grams of Organic Matcha Oishii powder

It is very important to have the ingredients ready beforehand, so the mixing of your matcha pound cake goes smoothly. Make sure that the butter and milk are at room temperature to achieve a fluffy matcha pound cake. If you follow the recipe, this is really the best easy matcha pound cake ever!

METHOD


To make this easy matcha pound cake you will first start by mixing together the butter and the sugar with a mixer. Make sure that they are very well creamed together. 

You will then add the flour and eggs, and mix until the batter is well incorporated and it has a smooth texture. Do not overmix.

Slowly, you will incorporate the baking powder, salt and the Organic Matcha Oishii powder which will make this a super fluffly matcha green tea pound cake and very green too!

Pour your matcha pound cake batter into a rectangular pan, previously buttered and lined with baking paper. Make sure your matcha batter is evenly spread, you can do that by softly hitting the pan against a hard surface or with a spatula. It is important, not to overmix the matcha batter with the mixer.
Then your matcha pound cake will go in the oven for 50 minutes at 170 degrees Celsius, but make sure you open your oven when your matcha pound cake has been baking for 15 minutes, and slice the matcha cake with a sharp knife in the middle from one side to another, so that your matcha pound cake can rise beautifully.
